When can babies have ice cubes?

When can babies have ice cubes?

Even if you feel like giving your tot an ice cube to ease teething pain or to cool down his drink on a hot day you are advised not to do so until the kid is about four years of age.

Since it can posses hazards as an ice cube is slippery and large enough to be stuck into the throat.

Further, crushing the ice in mouth can actually damage the teeth.

Incase, your child is demanding for an ice cube in a drink, offer him small pieces of crushed ice in it that won?t harm the kid anyway.

If you’ve been using ice to sooth teething pain, keep a teething ring in the refrigerator and offer that to your child instead.
